At Pete Black Plumbing, we pride ourselves on supporting local businesses in Livingston County, helping them grow and serve the community in unique ways. Recently, we had the pleasure of collaborating with DogWatch Hidden Fences of Southeastern Michigan, a growing small business that specializes in underground pet fencing. Their services range from installations to training dogs to understand the boundaries of their fencing system, as well as servicing other brands’ systems.
Dog Watch started in Farmington Hills and, just last summer, found a new home in downtown Brighton. As part of their expansion, they introduced a self-service dog washing station in their boutique store to better serve pet owners. The addition of this station came from frequent customer requests, giving the community more reasons to visit the store and care for their pets.
When Dog Watch needed plumbing services to get their new washing station up and running, they reached out to Pete Black Plumbing. Once we learned they were a small, growing business looking to take things to the next level, we were eager to jump in. As a company committed to our community, we gladly donated our time and expertise to ensure the installation went smoothly.
Our shared love for animals made this project particularly special. With both Greg and I having farming backgrounds and a deep connection to the community, this collaboration felt like a natural fit. From the beginning to the end of the project, we worked closely with the Dog Watch team, making sure every detail was perfect. We even had the opportunity to address a minor heating issue after installation, arriving within the hour to ensure everything was functioning as intended.
It was a pleasure to work with such an enthusiastic team, and we’re thrilled to have been part of their journey. We’re thankful for the opportunity and look forward to partnering with them again in the future.
